  Stay at ADS was perfect. Condo was light and spacious with a wonderful balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the unit was well equipped with everything from housewares, cleaning supplies to beach towels. Located on the far northern edge of town and only a block and a half from a prime section of beach. A bit of a hike to town center but we used the free bicycles to get around. Staff were very helpful and a a good source of information on local attractions, snorkeling guides, etc. Highly recommended.

  Abbey del Sol is a nicely run place with friendly staff very near to the beach. They provide nice extras such as fee bikes and a huge (free) DVD-collection. The town Puerto Morelos is a quiet relaxed little town with some nice places to eat.
  Distance between the apartment and the town is a bit far to walk (especialy in the dark) but you can get a bike for free (or ofcourse rent a car).
  For me it was very convenient because I wanted privacy. The apartment #11 where I stayed had a nice balcony overlooking pool and garden.
  3 constructive remarks:
  -pick at the airport did not make me happy, first there was nobody there so I had to look for about 20-30 minutes and then I got charged US$ 50 with a bit high exchange rate since I did not have US$ (I am in Mexico after all). 13 peso for US$ 1, so 650 pesos. I could have taken a taxi for 360 pesos, but ok way back was only 400 pesos and evrybody has to make some moeny.
  -could be a bit cleaner especially glasses, forks, knives etc. Was quite happy my wife was not with me as she woud have been cleaning for a day ( I did not by the way).
  - I stayed 6 nights and apartment was not cleaned once (no new towels, sheets etc). Probably policy and normal and I could have asked, but still I would have liked a one time clenaing.
  Overall I really enjoyed the stay (also had great weather)and think it is a peaceful and friendly place with respect for privacy. Good value for money

  The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. Owners and staff are very helpful. We arrived early in the morning in Cancun-Jin picked us up at the airport, then took us to get money at an ATM and to buy some groceries before we arrived at Abbey del Sol around 7 am. Our room wasn't ready yet so they gave us another room to use until we could check into #11-very thoughful of them (we didn't sleep on the overnight flight so we really appreciated this!).

  This was our third year at Abbey del Sol and our second in Abbey Two, apartment 11. It doesn't get any better. The balcony looks over the pool and the neighboring houses. Lots to view. This is where we hang the hammock and rearrange the lounge chairs to catch the best sun or shade depending on the mood. The king size bed is a lovely firm one with many pillows for building a nest. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils. The staff loves managing this property and does it so well. Abby loves to tweak the properties, always adding this and that. We love it here!

  We had an absolutely wonderful time in Puerto Morelos & at Abbey Del Sol Too! Our apartment was a much needed break from our beautiful (but over the top) all inclusive resort. We loved being in the heart of Puerto Morelos and felt that Abbey Del Sol was a perfect location to see everything in town & so relaxing and quiet to come home to every night. We made good use of the bikes and felt very comfortable venturing over to La Colonia by bus to shop, eat and stroll around. (thanks for the quick last minute trip Tiff!)
  
  We fell in love with Puerto much so that we even tried to change our flight to stay for a few more days!!!
  
  Jin & Freddy were also both so friendly and accommodating. Our transfers back and forth to the airport were a breeze and Jin answered a lot of questions for us along the way
  : )
  
  I will recommend Abbey Del Sol to all friends & family looking for a relaxing vacation in Mexico. Look forward to seeing you back in Puerto Morelos soon...

  Had a great time, it's so relaxing in that area. You can use the bikes if you want to go downtown, or you just a block away from the beach by foot. You have the impression that you are at home but in a vacation area, thiers even a mini BlockBuster at the front desk. This is my second experiance at ABBY 2, every time its a great experiance! If I quote'My feet keeps coming back to Abby Del Sol. Thank-you for this experiance.
