  This property is located two blocks from the ocean and a couple more from downtown which is just perfect because it is very quiet (except for stray dogs which party sometimes at night!) and, at the same time, close enough to everything. The small pool was great for a dip after our yoga class. The whole team at Abbey del Sol was very helpful. The only minus was that there is no view because the house is surrounded by a concrete wall which, however, does not prevent the sun from shining in the kitchen in the morning. All in all, a very nice place to stay.

  It was great to stay at the property far away from the multitude, it was Holy week and we did not even feel it the house was so quit and the relaxed pool made the difference on our stay... Thanks for the contribution on such a wonderful vacations!!!!

  Our stay at Izamal 1 (an Abbey Del Sol managed property) could not have been better. The property was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. When we did need something, a quick call to Abbey, Tiff, of Jin (on a cell phone they left us with their #'s in it!)and questions were answered or needs accommodated. We were provided with great information on the area and put in touch with "the best" snorkel guide. Airport pickup and drop off also made life easy. They showed us where to shop and encouraged economical safe bus trips to Playa. They are genuine, nice, friendly people with your best interest at heart as well as the best interest of the wonderful local people. HIGHLY recommend a stay at any of their properties and can't wait to visit again.

  We loved our stay at Primevera, the privacy of the pool and the quiet street were lovely
  Casa Izamal was also very nice. Both properties have great beds, warm showers, great kitchen facilities. The bedroom AC did not work at Iazamal and no one seemed overly eager to get it fixed. The staff were very helpful, our only complaint the AC and the booking process. Administration seems a bit weak. Otherwise, a great rental experience

  We booked our trip solely on recommendation from close friends who had travelled there for the last 3 years. We didn't quite know what to expect, & were most pleasantly surprised in all areas. We felt our vacation started from the moment we left the plane & were picked up by Jin from Abbey del Sol. The constant availablility & helpfulness of staff helped us feel completely safe, connected, & able to get the most out of our experience due to information & assistance so readily available. Our accommodation was very clean, met all our needs for the most part (only issue of the whole 3 weeks was an uncomfy couch), thereby helping us feel right at home. We were also happy with the proximity of beach & town, local grocery shopping (especially fresh fish!), choice of restaurants, YOGA classes in the town square (which was a fun place to 'hang out' & people watch - often some community program going on in the evening), use of bikes, complimentary DVDs, courtesy phone & computer to call home. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked for next year before leaving!!

  We had a lovely time in this house, stayed for 5 nights on the ground floor. Close walk to the beach, max 5min. The house has been just renovated. The best thing was the outdoor BBQ, we used it many times. Very nice communal pool area.
